My Passion is My Purpose

Let me be honest for a moment; I want to share with everyone my passion, which is the purpose I was created for here on earth. In my last blog, I shared about who I am, and what I shared then was the real me coming out and not someone being behind a mask. I want to share my passion and why it is my purpose in life. I am not holding anything back this time, and I want everyone to know this part of me. Many people will tell you I am good with computers and computer applications, and most will inform you that I work on computers. However, my passion goes far beyond just technology, and it is only one source that helps me with it. Starting back in September 2001 at a youth service, I began to work behind the scenes on computers to put up songs and presentations on the screen, which led to over an 18-year-long stint at Kingsport First Assembly doing media for the church in various ministries such as the creative arts ministry, kids ministry, young adult ministry, and the youth ministry.

After 18 years, I started to get burned out, and I stepped back with the occasional help with events and special guest speakers. However, this would lead to my passion eventually coming to a burnt-out campfire. It took some time before the spark ignited again, and in a new way, this would bring me to streaming, blogging, graphic design, and soon podcasting. My passion remains the exact cause: to make people smile and show people that even through life's struggles, there is always hope, love, and a way to survive the struggles of life. My passion is my purpose, and when I thought about that and talked about it, I realized that my passion and purpose were the same and that even with the new way, it never changed, even though I have changed. I have a passion for doing media, whether for church services, events, school, or even helping people out when they need it; I can say that now I am using the opportunities that come up to share my passion and make people smile practically. My passion for computers is to make people smile like is always has been, and it is also my purpose here on earth.
